Sarah is not a feel-good story of freedom from addiction. It is an eyes-open memoir of a mother’s struggle as she watches her daughter succumb to the pull of heroin and other drugs. But what makes this telling extraordinary is how drugs could not destroy the love between Sarah and Sandra, or their shared faith. Throughout, God’s presence shines in the darkest places.
